The classic french toast
Last weekend I made my first trip back to Milwaukee alone in a car. It is always nice to come back to the city and go see places that were once familiar to you. My favorite place at home is the Milwaukee Pier. In St. Louis we basically just have the Mississippi River, so there is not much to see let alone swim! Lake Michigan can get kind of gross in the summer, but if you look past that, I consider it one of the most beautiful great lakes.
Yesterday My friends and I went out to the Monroe County Fair. I have not been to one since I was very little, so it was nice to be around the countryside and the familiar smell of cow feces.
p.s My last post was inspired by no other than Miss. Maria Caruso. Thanks :)

I Could be Wrong- Chromeo Featuring Ezra Koenig (From Vampire weekend). They will be in St. Louis at the Pageant on October 24th. I already bought my ticket!
I have had my La Mer watch for almost a year now, and I am still obsessed with it from the big face to the dark leather band. This week I am on the hunt to find my next watch. Within the past year watch trends have been all over the place. I have seen all white band watches to rose gold/gold ones. Overall, I do find gold watches very appealing, but I am looking at more of a vintage inspiring piece. Here are my top two favorites from Asos. They are both Casio, and have a classic vintage style to them.
I recently discovered this great iphone app on my phone called Instagram. It lets you take pictures and edit them in a hipster vintage style such as holga or lomography. I decided to test it out with some pictures, and I was quite impressed. Best of all, the app is free!
—Little Talks
This summer I have been trying to compile an indie summer play list. I know it sounds silly, but it actually comes in handy when you’re in the car or by the pool. Listening to these songs brings in summer warmth! I love it, and currently this is my favorite song that I constantly put on repeat at work. It is called “little talks” by Monsters and Men. Enjoy.
I saw this one actually on Facebook which I thought was hilarious but true for those college kids who have a full time job during the summer
“Rise and grind. Keep on sleeping losers I’m out there winning”
I always have been very skeptical about rompers. My belief is that only certain body types can pull off a romper. Fortunately I was wrong, and wore my first romper today! Romper, Indie music, sunshine, and a good book would be the perfect essentials for just another summer day.
